Shahid was born in Mumbai to Pankaj Kapur of “Karamchand’ fame and TV actress Neelima Azeem. Their parents divorced when he was young. He has a brother Ruhan and sister Sana.
Shahid Kapoor early education was from Gyan Bharati, in Delhi and later in RajhansVidyalaya, Mumbai. Shahid Kapoor began his acting journey through music videos and ad films.
