Shriya Saran Biography
Shriya Saran is multitalented heroine who has acted in Hindi, English and Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films.
Shriya acted mainly in lead roles in high-budget south Indian films with genre of romantic comedies, drama science fiction and action thrillers.
Shriya was born on 11 September 1982 in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Her mother is a teacher, and Shriya completed her early education at Haridwar where her mother was teacher.

She completed Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the Lady Shri Ram College New Delhi.
Shriya started her acting career during her college in Delhi. She is fond of dancing and appeared in a music video called Thirakti Kyun Hawa’’. This music video was highly admired by the audience in India and abroad.
She made her first appearance in Bollywood at 19 in the film Ishtam. But in Bollywood, Shriya could not find a foothold and moved to the south Indian film industry.
She appeared in 2002, Telegu romantic film Santhosham, which was a blockbuster film. Her other famous films Tagore (2003) and Sivaji: The Boss (2007). She played nice role in this movie which was much appreciated.
Shriya won various awards for her excellent performance in the films that include 2008- South Scope Style Award -Best Tamil Actress for Sivaji The Boss, 2009 – Stardust Exciting New Face Award for Mission Istaanbul, 2010 – Amrita Mathrubhumi Award for Best Actress for Kanthaswamy and Thoranai, 2011 – ITFA Best Actress Award for Rowthiram.
Besides acting, Shriya is a well established model. She has appeared in numerous advertisements for premium brands, like Pond’s Creams. Saran is also the brand ambassador of several companies in India.
Shriya is involved in act of charity towards the visually impaired. The artist visits to blind school in Delhi and contribute for them. Shriya’s ‘Shree Spa’ a spa is managed by the visually impaired.
